Gallery 2 - Tasmania
Tasmania is a very lush and picturesque Australian State with some of Australia’s most beautiful natural scenery. It’s temperate rainforest, mountains and ocean scenery makes it a favourite holiday destination. For the less adventurous, the natural produce, wineries and growing number of very good whisky and gin distilleries makes it a very relaxed and tasty break from the “big smoke”.

This fallen tree looked like a horned demon with outstretched arms taking a nap (King Billy Trail - Cradle Mountain). Well it did to me. You may see something else.

More often than not, Cradle Mountain is covered with nasty looking clouds.

Fire Bay on Tasmania’s east coast is famous for it’s bright orange and yellow lichen covered rocks. Entire shorelines and bays are a spectacular orange/red and yellow above the water line.
A long 25 second exposure of waves crashing over rocks produces a very soft misty effect (Fire Bay).
A shorter 1/3 second exposure produces a different, but pleasing lacy effect (Fire Bay).
Russell Falls located about 50km north-west of Hobart (as the crow flies).
Horseshoe Falls, located about 200m further down the track from Russell Falls (above).
Lyffey Falls located about 40km south-west of Launceston (as the crow flies).
A small creek running beside the track down to Lyfie falls. There be fairies here!
Salamanca Market, which is located adjacent to the port of Hobart. A great place to visit day or night.
