Gallery 4 - France
Paris is one of my favourite cities. The architecture, the food, the fashion. There are photographic vistas at every corner. Here are a few of my favourite photos out of the hundreds I took, and I make no apologies for all the Eifel tower shots!
The Eifel tower is impressive during the day, but spectacular at night.
Yes, another night shot with some admirers included.
OK, I promise this is the last Eifel tower shot!
The other iconic landmark in Paris is the Arc de Triomphe. This thing is huge and the view from the top is great. Just don’t do what I did and spend the day walking through Paris before getting here. There’s no elevator and with the queue of people behind you, there’s no stopping until you get to the top.
A view of the Louve from the restaurant balcony. Another mammoth structure in Paris, though this one can take days to do it justice.
The Sacré Coeur de Montmartre. Yet another impressive Parisian building both inside and out. The church is built on a hill and provides a panoramic view of Paris.
Returning home after a satisfying day shopping in Paris.
This lady was sitting on her little balcony in Paris getting some air.
Someone was using an umbrella as in impromptu sunshade on their balcony in Paris (apologies to Banksky and the “Girl With the Red Balloon”).
Trouville-sur-Mer borders Deauville across the River Touques on the Normandy coast, France. A favourite holiday destination for Parisians in the summer break. Great architecture and even better restaurants.
